Nearest Beaches

Along the extensive stretch of coastline  there are a multitude of  beautiful beaches, unspoilt coves, hidden beauty spots and spectacular coastline scenary.

The  main beaches on the  north west coast  are found nestled in and around the three main tourist resorts: Portinatx, Cala Sant Vicent and Port de Sant Miquel.

All three of these beaches are ideal for bathing in clear, crystal waters and all offer a full range of water sport and beach services.

In addition to these lovely beaches there are also numerous little coves of great natural beauty  offering  an ideal place to enjoy the peace and tranquility of the natural landscape.

Beaches such as Aguas Blancas, Benirrás, Cala Xarraca, S'Illot, Cala Moltons den Serra are prime locations for sun, sea and nature lovers.

Better known by local veteran fishermen as port of Benirras because of its structure as a closed bay, protected from strong wings, it is located in a natural spot of extraordinary beauty and it has a leafy wood with paths that will delight those fond of this discipline. A large gastronomic offer and the magical presence of the small island Cap Bernat make this palce really special.

This long beach stretches under the shelter of steep cliffs that hide the sun before it happens in other beaches and it is very exposed to strong east winds. It shares, with es Cavallet, the preference as nudist beach; not withstanding it is frequented by families and crowded. Its horizon is flanked by sa Punta Grossa, on the north, and jthe island of Tagomago on the south; views of the area impressive.

Es pas de s'illa

Es pas de s'illa

This beach is to be pointed out because it is used as connecting link between Illa des boscand the island of Ibiza. Because of this peculiar circumstance it has two slopes, one southeast oriented, looking towards the open sea. The inside slope is usually the most frequented because of its quiet and clean waters. There is a small refreshment stall and thought its access is difficult, it is worth going there.

With the natural beauty of the northem coves of the islan, this peaceful place enticesto calmess. Those fond of rambling can walk about is surroundings and enjoy the magnificent views of the area. If you have the opportunity, make a boat trip along the littoral and discover the coves nearby with countless corners to have a bath and sunbathe.

S'illot d'es renclí

S'illot d'es renclí

Place of a pronounced sea flavour, with a small group of typical dry-dock stalls on one of its end. This small cove, surrounded by gentle cliffs, is the perfect place to run away from bustle and to relax laying on its warm sands. Walking about its coast you shall find beatiful places between the rocks where you will be able to enjoy greater privacy. Under the nearby pine grove there is a restaurant where you will be able to taste delicious local cuisine.

 

Cala Xuclar

Another option to run away from the most frequented beaches and to enjoy the calm of its natural environment. Those fond of snorkelling will enjoy the richness of underwater fauna and flora living in its crystal waters. Take the opportunity to taste some of our sea food in the small refreshment stall and walk around the paths that run throught the surrounding vegetation.

Portinatx

Portinatx

Located in the north of the island, Portinatx is a beautiful beach, despite being highly urbanized, Beachfront still retains some of its natural charm. The beach is composed of golden sand and clear turquoise water with some seaweed mixed with reflections.
Cala d'en Serra

Cala d'en Serra

Located in a unique environment, surrounded by cliffs and vegetation, at the end of a winding path we shall find this small cove of transparent and quiet waters that entice to bathe. The whole is completed by a small refreshment stall and several dry-dock stalls. Not very far, swimming, there is ss lonely cove: a paradise for lovers of loneliness.

Cala San Vicente

Cala San Vicente

As in other places of the island, the outstanding beauty of the area has contributed to the creation of a priviled tourist centre, hotels, restaurants and shops emerging from the sand few metres away from the huge natural swimming pool formed by this beatiful cove. From the nearby promontories one can enjoy unforgettable general views. Take the opportunity to visit the Punic Sanctuary of sa Cova des Culleram;the views from there are superb.

 

Puerto de San Miguel

Puerto de San Miguel

An important tourist place has developed around Port de Sant Miquel, and it enjoys of the magnificent sandy spot streching away beneath it. It is a beach frequented by families and it offers all necessary services to enjoy all its possibilities. Perfect to practise se water sports, it has good restaurants where one can taste the best of the islands´gastronomy. Do not miss a visit to Cova de can Marça.
